Community foundations are built by volunteers. And your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can give to our community.

Each Community Foundation in Canada  is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, a group of community leaders who give their passion and expertise to help build more vital communities.

The County Community Foundation relies on the work of many volunteers from all across Prince Edward County.

You can volunteer as a Board Member. We meet monthly as a full board and members are on committees overseeing governance, communications, investment management and more.

You can volunteer by being part of our on-going work on actions emerging from the Vital Signs Report. Take a look at the Vital Signs update on this website and find out what is happening right here in the County. Over 30 organizations are involved in working on concrete projects to improve access to food and food programs, new learning opportunities for the young, and an integrated transportation system for the County.

You can volunteer and help with the day-to-day management of your Community Foundation. Volunteers report to the board, and can perform a range of services for the Foundation, including communications, website development, special event management, office management, book-keeping, manual production, research, board support, donor stewardship.

Wherever you are, you can help. Get involved with your community. Join us in working for a strong and vital community.
